I was truly surprised when given this beautiful Mandala by Shirley, I felt humble and yet recognised the mandala and the words as belonging to me. Not the everyday Jackie who goes about her business, but by the quiet, inner Jackie who silently observes and is often amused by the busyness of the everyday Jackie. The inner Jackie is who the mandala was for and she is the one who needed the recognition, so that the everyday Jackie would allow her more time. I find extreme peace in the mandala, it hangs on my bedroom wall and is the first thing I see every morning. It reminds me at the start of each day, who I truly am, what my work really is.
